Borgwarner Emission supplies various models to Ford, Geely, Great Wall, and General Motors. Before choosing iPlant-ACC, the small quantity and large number of models per order resulted in more frequent production line changeovers, each of which required manual modification and adjustment of process parameters for each workstation equipment to check, usually taking half a day. Due to the lack of flexibility and limited capacity, the factory intended to invest in building two more similar lines to meet the delivery time. With the introduction of ACC, the system has a centralized configuration management function for process parameters. When a changeover is required, the pre-configured process parameters are simply downloaded to the PLC of each station while the product barcode of the first station is identified, reducing the changeover time by half a day. Now, Borgwarner no longer has to invest in a new line for low efficiency, ACC has configured this line with more than 40 product models, making full use of the existing capacity and saving tens of millions of dollars in investment.
iPlant-ACC has the function of one-touch changeover, which can realize the whole line changeover and designated station changeover. ACC also incorporates the tooling and spare parts corresponding to the product model into the management, which optimizes the flush set management and greatly shortens the changeover time and improves the accuracy.
